The Gerald Dunn Group from the “Blue Room” at the American Jazz Museum in Kansas City plays Friday, August 1, at Avenue A Park from 8-10 p.m. The concert is free.
Dunn is the Entertainment Director for Kansas City’s American Jazz Museum, and is one of the city’s premiere saxophonists. He has toured and played with the world renowned Illinois Jacquet’s Big Band based in New York.
They are the featured act for the 2014 “Jazz in the Park” concert. This is part of the 125th Annual Emancipation Day Celebration. It’s sponsored by the Hutchinson Reno Arts and Humanities Council.
