Be a LocaVore!
The Reno County Farmer’s Market kicks off their season today from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Shop for local honey, homemade jams and jellies, fresh baked goods and seasonal produce. Be a LocaVore! It’s at 2nd and Washington.
Fraese Drug downtown serves breakfast all day, and has a lunch menu available, too. It’s near Main and 1st street. They’ve been in business since 1939 and have recently moved to this location. Check them out at fraesedrug.com.
Cinco de Mayo
Cinco de Mayo is from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and features many special events downtown. The Cow Creek Duck Regatta, a 5K Chili Pepper Run and a carnival are just some of the attractions. Traditional music and dancers will round out the day.
Apron Strings is offering a Strawberry Tea Sandwiches Demonstration at 2 p.m. You’ll be downtown anyway, so enjoy this demonstration and get a taste. Apron Strings is at 201 S. Main.
Enjoy dinner at The Anchor Inn. You’re in the neighborhood already, and it’s perfect for the day! They’ve been in business more than 30 years and make their own tortillas and guacamole on site.
