Hutchinson Art Fair on May 7

20160317 678The 54th Annual Hutchinson Art Association Fair is Saturday May 7 from 9-4. It will be held in the Sunflower South Building at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.

The original work of over 45 artists from throughout the Mid-West in a variety of mediums, featuring a wide range of prices, will be on display. Don’t miss this chance for a great family outing including great Art, Food, and Music.

In 2015 artists exhibiting at the Fair were presented nearly $2,400.00 in purchase awards and $2,300.00 in cash awards. The cash awards consisted of 1 st – $500, 2nd – $400 and 3rd – $300 plus eleven Awards of Excellence totaling $1,100 and four Memorial awards totaling $1,000. An additional estimated $15,000.00 in purchases were made by the thousands of patrons in attendance at the Art Fair.

Art projects for the children will be offered throughout the day. Our future artists will be able to create works of art for Mom, the refrigerator door, or simply for the joy of doing. There is no charge for the children’s activities.

The music at the Art Fair is sponsored by the Hutchinson/Reno Arts and Humanities Council.
