Comic Book Artist Ande Parks

Comic Book Artist Ande Parks was at the Comic Book and Graphic Novel Festival at Hutchinson Public Library on Saturday, Sept. 21. He was a comic book artist for about two decades. During that time he worked for every major comic book publisher. He is best known for his work with frequent collaborator Phil Hester, including the team’s four year run on Green Arrow.

Now Parks concentrates on writing and has published the historical fiction graphic novels, “Union Station,” and “Capote in Kansas.” “Capote in Kansas” was recognized as a Notable Book by the state of Kansas, the first graphic novel to win that honor.

After his presentation at the library, he drew and signed for fans..
